Required in order to proceed with any weight-loss medication prescription and treatment plan. During this first visit, medical history will be reviewed, current medications, most recent labs, discussion of what other methods have been used. Vitals will be obtained, an initial BodyMetrix ultrasound body fat scanner will be performed, a counseling plan on food, exercise plan and discussion about Baritastic app will be done. Once a plan is generated and, if appropriate, then medication will be provided.
Please note if initial labs have not been done within the last 3 months, labs will be required prior to proceeding with any medication prescriptions. These labs can be done by your primary care or you have the option to have them drawn during your medical weight loss consultation. Labs needed: CBC, CMP, Thyroid panel (Free T3, Free T4, TSH), Lipid panel, Hemoglobin A1C and insulin fasting.
